When Jackson burst into my classroom crying, “Brady says he doesn’t like me ‘cause I’m weird and my hair’s too long,” the seeds of this song were planted. Every day I remind my students that we are all on the same team and team members work together to help and support each other. These words began arranging themselves into rhyming phrases, so I grabbed my guitar and shaped them into this song.

My hope is that not only will people sing these lyrics, but also live by them as we work toward a common goal of respect for our planet and each other.
